FBGC Charity Challenge
Can I just say an absolutely massive thank you for anyone who contributed in any way to making this year’s Charity Challenge such a success. The final amount raised on the day for the Kissy Puppy – The Sophie Rolf Trust was in excess of £2300, which is a staggering total, and was greatly appreciated by Sophie’s parents who were both in attendance on the day. Special thanks, as always, to Sandra Tansley, who does so much work behind the scenes to ensure the day runs smoothly.
On the golf side of things, it really doesn’t seem to matter how hard the conditions are, there are still people who will play excellent golf. This year the pace setter was Ian Thompson, who in very high winds still managed to score 41 points which won him both the individual vet’s and overall singles trophies.
Winning the pairs with an aggregate score of 70 points were Barry Hunter and Hugh Morrison. They were also half of the winning team, with the other two being Steve Sargeant and Chris Tansley, just pipping Joan Martin, Chris Sprackling, Jackie Evitts and Bill Evitts on countback.
Sammi Keen won the Ladies trophy with a score of 35 points
